Why do customers come to Gallery Furniture, and keep coming back? The best answers come from our customers! Here are some of their stories.
Gallery Furniture is known for same day delivery -- after all Gallery Furniture did it first and still does it better than any other Houston furniture store.
Here's a good example.
Monday, a customer came in to the store and bought a large table and 10 chairs for a Heights area office conference room. Less than an hour later, the table was set up in the office.
Here's how the timeline went:
1:10 PM -- the ticket prints in the warehouse
1:30 PM -- the delivery truck is loaded
1:48 PM -- the delivery truck arrives at the office
1:59 PM -- the table is set up
2:00 PM -- the customer is delighted
This delivery was certainly faster than you expect from a furniture store, and it was better for the customer because she had the new table ready to use before the afternoon was done.
Gallery Furniture can't make every delivery in less than an hour, but it is nice when it happens. Gallery Furniture will go the extra mile for customers, and that's what sets Gallery Furniture apart. Give us a try!
Mitch and Charlotte came to Gallery Furniture today looking to furnish a new condo they bought down in Florida. The condo has been empty, but a naval officer will be renting it from them starting this weekend. Well, Mitch and Charlotte's first tried to go to Rooms to Go in Austin to get furniture for the Pensacola condo, but their experience was a nightmare. Mitch and Charlotte told Gallery Furniture about their experience:
"We drove 3 hours to Austin, spent 2 hours shopping around for furniture, and then drove 3 hours back. From the very beginning we explained to Rooms to Go that we needed all our furniture by this Friday. Well, sure enough after we drove back to Houston and Rooms to Go gave us the bad news, they couldn't delivered it, and Rooms to Go didn't have any interest in accommodating."
After driving to Austin and still remaining empty handed, Mitch and Charlotte were in a rough spot. Charlotte, who works in sales, was disappointed, and rightfully so, because she always expects the best in customer service everywhere she shops. After thinking it over, the couple called Gallery Furniture. They said they were skeptical at first because they didn't think that Gallery Furniture could meet their needs or accommodate their delivery time. Well Gallery Furniture's customer service representative Laura received the call and sent the call straight to me. I told her Gallery Furniture could definitely deliver that furniture to their condo in Florida by Friday, because Gallery Furniture does whatever possible to make the customer happy. Like Charlotte said herself, "Gallery Furniture has superior customer service."

Once in the store this morning, Gallery Furniture's customer service was at its best when salesman Kenny met Mitch and Charlotte at the door. Kenny is "knowledgeable and stuck withing their time and financial parameters. Kenny was able to be very effective, putting together 3 bedroom suites, 1 dining room set, and a living room set in no time. Thats what its all about folks, meeting your needs efficiently and effectively. Only the best here at Gallery Furniture.
Gallery Furniture thanks Mitch and Charlotte for shopping with us and is happy to get the furniture they purchased into that condo, so the naval officer can have a great place to call home when he comes back from serving our country. If your looking to furnish your home or a vacation home, Gallery Furniture can be your one-stop shop. Our sales staff will make sure to stay within your parameters and do whatever possible to make you happy!
When you answer the phone at Gallery Furniture -- as I do as often as I can -- you hear from people who are looking for new furniture at a happy time in their life, and sometimes others who need help at a sad time.
Sunday, I got a call from a woman who lives in California but is in Texas to deal with her late mother's affairs. It turns out that her mother purchased an adjustable Tempur-Pedic sleep system from Gallery Furniture a while ago. Now, the woman's sister is ill and needs an ajustable bed. That was the reason for the call to Gallery Furniture -- could I help get mother's bed to sister's house?
The answer, of course, was yes. Two of our delivery people were at the mother's house in about an hour, moving the bed from there to the sister's house several miles away at no charge. Gallery Furniture is glad to help this woman in her time of grief and need, with an extra bit of service that solves a problem in a hurry.

Which brings up another story of people in Houston at an uncertain time. I got a call from a man who said his wife was getting chemotherapy at M. D. Anderson. They don't live in Houston, so they had rented an apartment near the hospital. A few weeks ago they went to another furniture store to buy furniture for the apartment.
The day they were supposed to move in arrived but their furniture wasn't in the apartment and when the man called to ask about delivery, he was told it wouldn't be delivered that day. He told the folks at the other store that his wife was sick, getting chemotherapy, and they really needed the furniture. He was told that was too bad -- no delivery that day.
This man cancelled his order and came to Gallery Furniture, where he had been told he'd get same day delivery. He bought furniture for the apartment and two hours later the Gallery Furniture delivery truck was there and his wife had a place to rest.
Gallery Furniture's business is selling furniture, but I don't want to forget that it is people buying the furniture, people who should be treated like they matter. At Gallery Furniture, our customers do matter, and that's why going the extra mile for a customer is something I stress. It doesn't matter why you come in the store, you deserve great customer service and you'll get it at Gallery Furniture. If you don't -- tell me. I'm here most of the time and ready to talk to you -- and I might even answer the phone.

When was the last time you invited a delivery person back to your home? That's what I thought. It's unusual for a delivery person to be someone you'd like to come back -- unless that delivery person is from Gallery Furniture.
Here's an example. Bonnie came into Gallery Furniture Wednesday afternoon and bought a new Tempur-Pedic mattress. Her husband is ill and has had trouble sleeping on a regular bed. She bought the mattress shortly after four pm and she left the store about 4:30.
By 6:15, the Gallery Furniture delivery truck was in front of her house and Omar and Jay Jay, two members of our delivery team, were ready to set up the new mattress.
That did not take too long, and half an hour later Omar and Jay Jay were ready to leave.
Bonnie didn't let them leave without an invitation though -- she told Omar she'll want them to come back and make her delivery the next time she buys furniture.
That's not what I hear about the other stores unfortunately. Day after day people tell me about buying something at another Houston furniture store and waiting for weeks for a delivery that doesn't come, or comes in pieces, and about delivery people who damage their walls and floors and leave a mess behind them.
I hear a different story from Gallery Furniture customers. That's because our deliveries are made by people who work for Gallery Furniture -- they're not contractors or some guys with a truck. They're trained people, who know how to take care of your furniture and take care of your home.
When was the last time you invited a delivery person back to your home?
That's one of my goals. I want you to be happy with your delivery, so happy that you'd be glad to see the Gallery Furniture truck pull up in front of your house again.
The next time you think about buying furniture, think about the whole package -- the furniture, the price, the delivery, the service after the sale. Then come to Gallery Furniture where you'll get it all. That's a promise backed by Mack!
Talk about fast! Rob of Houston came by Gallery Furniture on Saturday and just called to give his experience to the Gallery Furniture Marketing & Internet Team. Turns out that Rob knew that if he came by Gallery Furniture, he would be in and out within no time, and wanted to take advantage of the same-day delivery, which is the hallmark of Gallery Furniture of Houston!
From Rob: "I know with Gallery Furniture I will be in and out in no time flat. It is frustrating that so many businesses have long lines, discourteous staff, when what you are trying to do is give them your money! That's what I love about Gallery Furniture, though - fast service, wonderful staff!"
Rob was a smart shopper - he came by Gallery Furniture, worked with Gallery Furniture Salesperson Bull and picked everything he wanted out. To be sure, Rob went home, measured one more time for accuracy, and called back to finish the order with Sargeant, who took Rob's information and processed the order. Within a total of three hours, Rob had his couch, end table, and coffee table all set up in his inner loop Houston home. He was enjoying his furniture by 7:30 p.m. the same Saturday night. No other Houston furniture store could have done that.
Folks, whether you live in Neartown, Midtown, Downtown, or outside the loop, in Conroe, Alvin, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Katy, or Clear Lake - Gallery Furniture will have the furniture in your home today. Gallery Furniture can help Rob make the right purchase, and we'll help you, too! So drop on by Gallery Furniture at 6006 IH-45 North between Tidwell and Parker TODAY and get your furniture delivered TODAY.

Dean and Dana came into Gallery Furniture with their two children recently. Turns out this wonderful Houston couple moved to the Bayou City from Kansas City, Missouri. Everytime they would come to Houston to visit their mother they would see Gallery Furniture billboards all the way to Dean's mothers house in Katy, Texas (which is a ways west from Gallery Furniture - your number one Houston furniture store).
So, as soon as Dean and Dana moved to Houston they came straight to Gallery Furniture. Dean said after he visited Gallery Furniture for the first time this morning, and then he went and compared Gallery Furniture prices and selection to many other Houston furniture stores. Well, obviously, Dean and Dana came back to Gallery Furniture, Houston's number one furniture store to make the purchase.
As soon as they walked through the store, Dean, Dana, and most importantly, their kids, were happy. Their kids sweated it out on the Gallery Furniture tennis court, and at every turn in the store they were greeted by Gallery Furniture's ice cream man. The Gallery Furniture ice cream man was screaming out for free ice cream, giving out push-pops, ice cream sandwiches, and ice cream cones. Dean said, "Gallery Furniture is interesting and the only place that wasn't boring for our kids to be at." After the ice cream man continued on his way, Dean and Dana were able to pick out a beautiful Houston living room set, complete with Houston accent tables. Dana said that the sales guy Darrell was extremely "likable," and Dean couldn't wait to show their mother the living room set he purchased.

Gonzalo came to Gallery Furniture with the whole family. Gonzalo just moved to Houston from Pennsylvania - much colder climes - about 10 months ago and still didn't have any furniture for his Houston home. He was recommended to Gallery Furniture by his daughter Lupe who had bought from Gallery Furniture several years ago.
Gonzalo and his family made the right choice in coming to Houston's number one furniture store, Gallery Furniture. While Gonzalo and his family stopped at Landmark Furniture, Gonzalo didn't like anything he saw and said that "Gallery Furniture had better choices."
Once in Gallery Furniture, their whole family, all 6 of them, were met by friendly Gallery Furniture salespersons Juan and Giovanni. Together Juan and Giovanni helped Gonzalo find a Houston dining room set, two Houston living room sets, and a Houston area rug. They said that the experience was "great" and they would "definitely recommend Gallery Furniture to their friends and family." Gonzalo's experience at Landmark couldn't even compare to the variety of furniture and great customer service he experienced at Gallery Furniture.

Our Gallery Furniture delivery team is the best in Houston, and the greatest in the world! Gallery Furniture recieved a blog from one of our delivery boys, Scotty. Here is what Scotty wrote when he recently went to a friend's wedding and - wouldn't you know it - a Tempur-Pedic pillow from Gallery Furniture made its way into the wedding. So here is what Scotty wrote back to Gallery Furniture, Houston's number one furniture store:
Mack, I just wanted to tell you about the two king-size Tempur-Pedic Pillows I gave to my best friend and his new bride at there wedding in beautiful Edinburg, Texas. Mack, they absolutely loved their big, new Tempur-Pedic King Size Pillows and I believe just about everybody else at the wedding reception was asking "Where did you get those two beautiful Tempur-Pedic King Pillows?" I of course told the curious and interested crowd that I worked for Gallery Furniture in Houston,Texas - Houston's number one furniture store - and that it was my gift to the bride and groom. Wow!! Mack, for the next 30 minutes or more I had never answered so many questions regarding Gallery Furniture and about the Tempur-Pedic King Pillows!!! Ha ha!! But you know what? I loved it Mack! I am proud to talk about Gallery Furniture to folks and let them know that Gallery Furniture carries Tempur-Pedic. Mack, I also told them to go to www.GalleryFurniture.com to see what Gallery Furniture is all about. Mack, I just wanted to tell you that in the Hispanic community in South Texas (like Houston and other cities)... Traditional weddings and Quincenaras(15th b-day for girls) are a very, very big thing and the parents want to give there kids the very best. That's why they work so hard down there like they do here in Houston!

Mack, I suggest that we set up a registry online at www.GalleryFurniture.com so everybody can see what Tempur Pedic King pillows, mattresses or browse at all of Gallery Furniture's other items. I know my best friend Mark Salinas liked it because he bought a bedroom set, sofa set and pub-table & chairs when he was transferred here from McAllen six months ago. Just a thought Mack. Take care. Regards, Scotty

Like our delivery guy Scotty said, Tempur-Pedic pillows are available from Houston's favorite furniture store, Gallery Furniture, and they can make the perfect wedding gift. Whether you are starting a new family or have children in college, Gallery Furniture has everything for your home.
What a year it has been for Gallery Furniture customer Laura and her family. She came shopping with her son Jacob at Gallery Furniture in Houston while her husband stayed at home and enjoyed the football game. They were greeted at the door by salesman David and what a story they had to tell him.
(David,Mack,Jacob, and Laura)
In July of 2006, Laura and her family had purchased a reclining sectional from Star Furniture and had it delivered. Well, they tried to use the sectional but the recliner broke. They had Star bring them a new one because it was an imported brand and they didn't have the parts. It took 3 weeks for the second one to arrive. The new one broke as well.
Star told them that it would be SIX WEEKS before they could get a new one so they went in and re-selected a new sofa and loveseat by a brand that the family thought would be better. This was in August of 2007. That set also broke. This time it was fixable and Star ordered the parts in their home in front of the family. They had to wait a month for the parts to come in. As if things could not get any worse for this family, Star ordered the wrong part. Star finally just brought them a new living room set and Laura and her husband said they were never going back their again. They decided that, from this point forward, they would be going instead to Gallery Furniture - the number one Houston area furniture store.
The reason why they went to Star in the first place was because it was closer to their home. Now, they do not mind making the effort to drive a bit to Gallery Furniture because they get great service and get it TODAY! Today, the family had a great experience at Gallery Furniture.
Houston's greatest furniture store, Gallery Furniture, gave the family a call to check on the delivery and everything went well for the family. They could not have been happier and neither could Gallery Furniture! If your looking for a furniture store that won't cause you a headache, Gallery Furniture has everything you could dream of, and best of all Gallery Furniture will get that furniture in your Houston home TODAY! Yes that is a T- For TODAY!
