Are Knots in Wood Furniture a Defect? Here's the Truth

Why do solid wood furniture tables sometimes have knots?

They have knots in them because that's the way furniture is. The tree grows, and it's got some knots in it. It's character. It's not a flaw, it's not a defect. Every knot tells the story of the tree that grew for decades before being harvested and having more trees planted behind it.

No 2 boards, no 2 trees, are exactly alike. That's one of the greatest things about real wood, solid wood furniture. Nature created it. God created it. No factory can duplicate it.

Those beautiful grain patterns, mineral streaks, and natural markings make your dining room table completely unique for you and your family.

When you buy handcrafted solid wood hardwood furniture, you're buying a little bit of God's creation, and you're buying it to bring into your home, not particle board furniture glued together.

That's beauty you simply can't mass-produce. That's why Gallery Furniture proudly offers solid wood furniture Made in America.

It's got a few imperfections in it, but that tells the story of life. Life is a battle and a blessing. This solid wood furniture will be a blessing in your family's home for decades to come.
