Craftsmanship Is Back | Why American-Made Furniture Matters

People ask me, Mattress Mack, why are so many people talking about craftsmanship? Why are they talking about provenance?

Provenance means where is the furniture from? Because people are hungry for things that are real. They're tired of disposable particle boards. They're tired of replacing things that should have lasted.

They're tired of buying furniture from China, from East Asia, and they have no way of knowing: Was the furniture made by slave labor? Was it made out of particle board? Does it have harmful chemicals in it?

People nowadays want authenticity. They want something made by an artist instead of rushed through a factory, made the sloppy way with particle board and harmful chemicals. That's why handcrafted solid wood furniture Made in America has never been more relevant and important than it is right now.

Made in America, made by Amish craftsmen, made by hand, made to last a lifetime. People don't just want something to take a picture in front of, to be thrown away in a year. They want something that lasts, that's sustainable, that's beautiful, that was made by hand and built to endure.

They want to feel the warmth of this solid wood dining room table or their bedroom furniture, rub their hand on the nightstand when they go to sleep at night, and know it's solid wood, it's made by Americans, and they can thank an American craftsman for making that furniture.

That's the promise that generations of Americans have longed for. That's the promise Gallery Furniture sells every day.

Hand-built furniture, handed down, made by Amish craftsmen, Made in America, made for your Texas home, made to last a lifetime.
