Furniture Budget Guide: Which Rooms Should Come First?

People ask me all the time, "How do I prioritize my budget for furniture?"

Well, prioritize it by the room you use the most. If you entertain a lot, get great family room furniture. If you eat a lot and you love to eat, get a great dining room table and chairs.

If you're like me and you love a great night's sleep, get a great Tempur-Pedic mattress. Find the piece you're going to use the most, spend the money there, it'll be money well spent, and then six months later, go to the next room.
