Frequently asked question: What are some examples of Mattress Mack and Gallery Furniture helping out Houston?
Well, we kind of do that every single day. We've given away thousands of mattresses to our great veterans and first responders because they do a great job for us. It's tit-for-tat.
We've furnished hundreds of teachers' lounges across the Houston area over the past 45 years. We housed people here during Hurricane Harvey. Three or four days they were here.
People were aghast that we let them in the furniture store. They slept on the mattresses. They ate on the tables. They watched TV on the sofas.
They all said, "Mattress Mack, what are you going to do with this furniture after these people leave here?" I said, "What do you think I'm going to do with it? I'm going to have a sale."
We love our customers. We're involved in the community every day, from beginning to end. Not going to change.
