How do you choose furniture you still love 10 years from now? I would say, buy quality. Buy solid wood. Buy a sofa that's quality, that's going to be comfortable 10 years from now.

Buy solid wood table and chairs. They're still going to be there 10 years from now.

For many years, we carried cheap imported dining room chairs, and every Saturday or Sunday there'd be 4 or 5 customers coming in with the 4 or 5 pieces of a dining room chair they bought when we carried them from China that had been destroyed, and they were mad as wet hens.

Now, for the last 20 years, we've been carrying solid wood furniture made in America. I haven't seen one of them since.

You buy quality, you'll love it five years later. You buy junk, it's in the landfill. You don't love it.
