If you have pets, pets that are a little tough on leather, I'd probably trend more toward performance fabric.

Performance fabric is scratch-resistant, stain-resistant, smell-resistant. Leather is a very, very durable fabric.

It is a wonderful fabric. It's a great fabric for upholstered furniture. It would be my second choice behind performance fabric.
