Is all leather furniture made the same way?

Certainly not. Some leather furniture is made out of bonded leather. They take the scraps of the leather, they chew it up, and they spray it on, and that's called bonded leather. It's absolute garbage. There's not much of that around anymore because the consumer backlash was so hard against that bonded leather. It was so bad.

But other leather is leather everywhere you sit and touch. So leather here and vinyl on the outside. Top-grain leather, like the Stickley sofas that we have, some of the Mayo leather sofas we have, probably Made in Texas, leather front, back, sides, everywhere.

So there's lots of differences in leather, lots of difference in the quality of the hide. If you buy leather furniture that's Made in America that's stationary, like Mayo, like Stickley, you're getting top-of-the-line leather everywhere you sit and touch.

A lot of the power motion leather is leather only where you sit and touch. Stickley and Mayo have leather everywhere: front, back, sides, everywhere. The power motion is generally leather just where you sit and touch.
