Frequently asked question: Why does Mattress Mack talk so much about work?
Because work provides more than a paycheck. Work provides purpose, structure, friendships, confidence, community, responsibility, and the satisfaction of knowing you helped other people.
You know, you don't get a lot of satisfaction saying, "I did something great," when you eat a bowl of ice cream. But when you accomplish something in work that was really difficult, that you had to climb the mountain to get there, it gives you tons of self-esteem.
Work is life's greatest therapy. That's why we invest in helping, teaching. We invest in teaching people skilled trades, help them get a high school diploma, and helping our team members at Gallery Furniture get better at that magic egg seller called work.
