People ask me all the time, Mack, why do you care so much about Made in America? Because I've seen what jobs do for Americans. A great furniture factory employs hundreds of people. And I saw over the period from 1995 to 2005 how people said, offshore everything, all the American workers will get great tech jobs, they don't have to work in these nasty factories.
We offshored our industrial capabilities over to China, Vietnam, etc. The tech jobs never materialized, we had a giant fentanyl crisis, and we still have a problem with manufacturing in this country. We believe in American made, that's why we buy so much Amish solid wood furniture, that's why Mayo Furniture is one of our biggest suppliers right here in Texarkana, Texas.
We've got lots of sofas and lots of mattresses that are made right here in Houston. We believe in American jobs because work brings purpose and meaning to life. We're bringing American jobs back to this great country because it makes the country strong, it makes the community good, and people love to work.
And when you have a job you love to do, you'll never have to work a day in your life. We believe in the dignity and honor of work, that's why we want to buy American products and supply them to our great customers.
