Want More Family Time? Start at the Dinner Table

Families should eat together because the family that dines together stays together. You know, what better way to get to know your kids, what's happening at school, what's happening in their activities, what's happening in their lives. Are they heading in the right direction? Are they getting a bit off course? Family meals are where values are taught and morals are made, and say, "We do this in this family, we don't do that," where you learn who the family respects, who they look up to. Dining room is all about family togetherness. What's more important than family getting together two or three times a day for those family meals? Maybe not two or three times a day in this generation, but at least once a day to share those values, put those cell phones and iPads up, and talk to each other.
