Warehouse Safety: Never Pull Furniture From an Unstable Stack

Number four: pull furniture from an unstable stack.

Not so much here, but using these two-wheel dollies, you gotta know the balance of furniture. Say your Flexsteel sofa, you gotta know your mix on the left side or right side, bottom or top.

So when you pull back, a lot of times you should be able to either see or feel the weight. If it starts leaning right or leaning left, you are not centered on that product. When I say centered, that don't mean right down in the middle of the box. I mean centered as in equal weight on both sides of your dolly.

When it rolls off and somebody is not paying attention, we're gonna get hurt.

What's the most unsafe warehouse, retail, or wholesale you've ever been in, where they had shit stacked 20 feet high? So they'll take, they got their little pallet, and they'll go dresser, dresser, dresser.

There'll be some tape around it, then they'll take another pallet, dresser, dresser, dresser, and go stack it, and stack it, and stack it. And it's like four or five high, and then they just take their little lifts up and down those littleβ€”whoo! It'd make me nervous.

Y'all don't go in those aisles on that.

Yeah. Y'all stay out of those aisles. You own some warehouse that is obviously dangerous, you stay out of them aisles.
