If I was furnishing my own home today, what would I look for before spending 10 cents?Β
I'd look for a great mattress, number one, because I'm going to spend a third of my life in a mattress.
Number two, I'd look for furniture that had performance fabrics on it, whether it be dining room chairs, whether it be sofas, occasional chairs that have a performance fabric on it, which I would think would really extend the life of the furniture, especially with thrills and spills in family rooms.
Next, I would look for great solid wood, Made in America dining room furniture, bedroom furniture, coffee and end tables.
Solid wood furniture made in America has a tradition to it, it's got a feel to it, and it just feels like home. And by buying American products, you'd be supporting American jobs.
That's where I'd start, and I'd invest in quality furniture that'll last a long, long time.
