Why Does My New Mattress Feel Firmer Than the Store Model?

Mattress Mack, frequently asked mattress questions. Why does my brand-new mattress feel firmer than the one I tried at Gallery Furniture's Mattress Mack Mega Superstore?

Because the floor model has already been tried out thousands of times. Your mattress is brand new. Comfort materials can settle and soften somewhat with use.

Your room temperature, your mattress protector, and bedding can also affect the feel as well. Give your new mattress a month or so to become your best friend.

It's like breaking in a brand-new pair of shoes. It takes a while, but after a while, it's oh-so-comfortable. Your new mattress will feel different, and after a month or so, you'll love it.
