Frequently asked question: Why is Gallery Furniture involved in so many Houston activities?
Because Gallery Furniture has been in Houston since 1981, and Houston has supported us. Without Houston, we are nothing. I learned from Dr. W. Edwards Deming, we all have a responsibility for the well-being of our community.
We take an active role in the community, making the community better. That's why at Gallery Furniture, right now, we've got the wonderful Premier High School attached to this building. We're educating young people who dropped out of high school, aged 16 to 26, and have had hundreds of graduates in the last five years while we've had the high school here.
We've got WorkTexas. We're teaching skilled trades to young people who want to learn plumbing, electrical, HVAC, auto mechanic, culinary, all sorts of skilled trades. We're teaching that for FREE.
Gallery Furniture is involved in the community because we have a responsibility to make Houston and Texas a better place.
