These shelves are being used to store a lot of hardback books that are 8 1/2 x 11 inches in a retail display application. The weight of the books is probably quite high, but these shelves do not wobble at all in spite of the floor being less-than perfectly leveled. They also smell nice and look nice, delivery service was excellent as well. I am seriously considering replacing other bookcases with these because I like them so much. Indeed, I think I may be moving away from adjustable shelves in the future because fixed shelves are just that much sturdier (and more visually attractive).
I love the boxy look and how solid it is.
It is exactly what I needed for my bourbon collection! It didn't sit exactly flush with the floor so easier tipped than other shelves but it came with an anti tip device. Solid USA made goods!

I needed a bookshelf for my 5 year old who loves to collect books and his was busting at the seams. This bookshelf is more than I could have even asked for. The cubbies are great for smaller books or we are suing the for stuffed animals and it is solid wood which you can't really find anymore. I would recommend this to anyone needing a bookshelf.

What is the weight capacity per shelf?
We don’t have a weight rating on them like that. They are wood and not press board and have heavy books on them here at the store so they shouldnt have a problem holding up.
